System RAM and GPU VRAM: Compare the Right Requirements

System RAM and GPU video memory describe different published conditions. Satisfying a RAM entry does not satisfy the GPU memory entry. Use the exact game edition and the exact hardware variant in every comparison.

A published example: GTX 1060 variants

The reviewed Cyberpunk 2077 table lists a GTX 1060 with 6 GB of video memory and 12 GB system RAM at minimum. Elden Ring lists a GTX 1060 with 3 GB video memory and also 12 GB system RAM at minimum. The same family name is not enough to establish compatibility with both tables.

Laptop and desktop models

Keep the Laptop/Mobile suffix when entering hardware. This site's comparison method does not silently equate a laptop GPU with a desktop GPU. If the exact variant lacks reviewed comparative evidence, the result remains Unknown.

Why a higher number does not produce a guaranteed result

Different hardware models require comparable evidence. A generic catalogue rank does not establish driver support, required API feature levels, game-specific behavior or measured FPS. Compare each requirement and read the source notes before buying hardware.

Check the published configuration

Resolution, quality and upscaling notes apply to the source's stated configuration. For example, the reviewed WUCHANG store requirements state that their specifications were tested with DLSS/FSR enabled. That condition should not be omitted or applied automatically to another game.

Read WUCHANG's published notes and source. These examples are source facts, not independent measurements of your PC.
